Playturf PIP Rubber Surfacing

Safe, durable, and accessible surfacing solutions built for long-term performance.

A Surface Designed for Real Use

Surfacing is one of the most important components of any playground or recreation space. It affects safety, accessibility, maintenance, and the overall user experience every single day. Playturf poured-in-place rubber surfacing is designed to provide a long-lasting, stable surface that performs reliably in high-traffic environments while supporting a safer and more accessible space for users of all ages.

What Is PIP Rubber Surfacing

Poured-in-place rubber surfacing, often referred to as PIP rubber, is a seamless safety surface installed directly on-site. The system combines impact-absorbing base layers with a durable wear layer to create a consistent and resilient finish.

Unlike loose-fill materials such as wood chips or gravel, PIP rubber stays in place and maintains a more reliable surface over time.

With utilizing Canadian recycled rubber within every project, this allows clients to be eligible for grant funding to cover some of the cost.

This creates a uniform and completely accessible surfacing to ensure that all ABILITIES are able to enjoy the playspace.

What We Do

We help schools, parks, municipalities, and community groups create outdoor spaces that are built for long-term use, accessibility, and everyday enjoyment.

Designed for Better Accessibility

Accessibility starts with movement throughout the space.

Loose or uneven surfaces can create barriers for wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, and users with mobility challenges. PIP rubber surfacing creates a stable, continuous surface that improves overall accessibility and usability across the entire playground or recreation area.

By reducing mobility limitations, the space becomes easier to navigate and more inclusive for a wider range of users.
